Isaac actually gets a little put out when I don't invite him to help me with the laundry. He gets a kick out of it ... and who am I to dissuade my little one from doing some housework?


Start 'em young, I say. It's a perk at this point...

The highlight of Isaac's trip to Lowe's...

... ever since then Isaac has been asking, "Where's the tacter?"

What a wonderful day! Jesus Christ is risen! In Him we have love, peace, hope, and salvation!

Let's celebrate!!

We started the fun with bubbles.

I don't think Isaac liked the bubbles at all. Haha.

Giving Daddy some loves. And then Isaac went on his first Easter egg hunt. Each egg held either M&M's or Goldfish. Isaac went around squeezing and shaking each egg he found, which sent the goodies flying. Once he caught on to the M&M's, he started turning up his nose at the Goldfish in search of more chocolate!

This was Isaac's response to my attempts at getting him to smile for a picture with his Easter basket. He is way too good at ignoring me when I get the camera out...

Anything to avoid smiling for Mommy!

Kevin was laughing at my persistence... I tell you, Isaac gets his stubbornness from his mother, and he gets it honest. I would NOT GIVE UP. He was going to smile for me! And in the end, I won.

... Then I left him alone to play.

What a lovely day.... this is the best weather of the year.

From Babyhood to Boyhood

He's becoming a little boy right before our very eyes. Kevin has begun something for Isaac that he claims "every boy needs" - a Hot Wheels collection! And that's when it hit me - Bye-bye baby toys! Isaac is not a baby anymore! His tastes are becoming much more sophisticated...

He's all about the trucks (or pretty much everything with wheels, really)!

He's just growing up too fast!!

Angels and Angels

The end of baseball Spring Training seems to catch us by surprise every single year. All of the sudden, it's the end of March, and we realize, "Hey, we wanted to go to a game!"

We are really Mariner fans, but we got free tickets to the Angels game...
... right behind home plate! So we just couldn't pass that up.

Todd & Mindy joined us for the fun. It was fun to get out without the kiddos screaming in our ears and begging for our attention. Haha. (You should have seen the four of us at dinner the night before; it was like popcorn the way we were all hopping up every five minutes to tend to the kids).

So the Angels were fun, but I still prefer playing outside with my little angel. (I use the term "angel" loosely, as we all know that's not always an accurate description, haha. But at this moment he certainly was unbearably adorable!)

This is probably the biggest smile I've ever gotten from him on camera! Haha, usually I'm chasing him around with the camera saying, "Isaac, Isaac! Smile at Mommy! Say 'CHEEEEESE'!!! Isaac, stop ignoring Mommy!" Haha, yeah.
